Privacy Policy

    Last updated: June 17, 2026

    1. Introduction

SimplePages is a tool that helps people create, edit, and publish landing pages and websites. This Privacy Policy explains how SimplePages collects and uses personal information when you visit our marketing site and use the SimplePages service as an account holder.

For data collected through pages that our customers publish using SimplePages, the customer (not SimplePages) is the data controller. If you are visiting a page that was built with SimplePages, please refer to that page's own privacy notice. See "Customer-published pages and visitor data" below.

    2. Information we collect

    • Account information: name, email address, password hash, and billing details (collected and processed by our payment provider, Stripe).
    • Project content: prompts, pages, drafts, uploaded assets, and brand information you import or create.
    • Usage data: pages visited, features used, and session activity within the application.
    • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer, and timestamps.
    • Communications: messages you send to our support channels.
    • Cookies and local storage: see "Cookies and analytics" below.

    3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

    • Provide, operate, and maintain the service (lawful basis: performance of a contract).
    • Improve the service, debug issues, and analyze usage patterns (lawful basis: legitimate interests).
    • Secure accounts and prevent fraud or abuse (lawful basis: legitimate interests and legal obligation).
    • Send service-related communications such as receipts, security alerts, and product updates (lawful basis: performance of a contract). Marketing emails are sent only with your consent and you can unsubscribe at any time.
    • Comply with applicable laws (lawful basis: legal obligation).

    4. AI providers

We send prompts and page content to third-party AI providers, including Anthropic and OpenAI, to generate and edit pages on your behalf. Per their API terms, content submitted via the API is not used to train their models. Editor-agent conversation history is stored to power the chat experience inside the editor. The full list of AI and infrastructure providers is published on our Security & Sub-processors page.

    5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the service and understand how it is used. Categories include:

    • Strictly necessary: required for authentication, session management, and security.
    • Analytics: pseudonymous product-analytics events recorded via PostHog and Google Analytics across the marketing site and the application. Google Analytics is loaded after page load through Google's tag manager script.
    • Payments: Stripe sets cookies to support secure checkout.

Where applicable law requires prior consent for non-essential cookies (for example, under the EU and UK ePrivacy rules), we plan to introduce a consent mechanism in the service. Until that ships, visitors in the EU, UK, and other jurisdictions with similar requirements should use browser controls to block or delete non-essential cookies before using the service. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.

    6. Sub-processors

We rely on third-party service providers (sub-processors) to operate the service, including for hosting, storage, email, AI generation, analytics, and payments. The current list is published on our Security & Sub-processors page.

    7. International data transfers

SimplePages is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our sub-processors operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

    8. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Project content is retained until you delete it or close your account. After account closure, we may retain limited information for legal, accounting, security, and fraud-prevention purposes for a reasonable period, typically up to seven years.

    9. Customer-published pages and visitor data

When you visit a page or website that one of our customers built and published with SimplePages, the SimplePages customer (and not SimplePages) is the data controller for any personal information you submit through that page. Examples include contact forms, lead forms, newsletter sign-ups, and checkout forms hosted on a customer's published page.

If you have questions about how a particular page handles your data, please contact the operator of that page. SimplePages does not control what disclosures, consent prompts, or cookie banners a customer includes on their published pages.

    10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

    • Access the personal information we hold about you.
    • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
    • Request deletion of your personal information ("right to be forgotten").
    • Restrict or object to certain processing of your information.
    • Request a portable copy of your information.
    • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
    • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California law. SimplePages does not sell personal information.
    • Receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.
    • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@simplepages.ai. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

    11. Children's privacy

SimplePages is not intended for users under 18, consistent with our Terms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

    12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Where a change is material, we will provide notice by email or in-app message before it takes effect.
