What to put on a local service landing page (a checklist)

Every section a local service page needs, in the order a visitor wants them, so nothing that converts gets left off the build.

Use this as a build checklist. It is the page anatomy from the local service landing page guide, laid out in the order a visitor actually wants it. Work top to bottom and you will not leave off anything that converts.

Above the fold (the first screen)

    • Headline with service and area: name what you do and where, in one line a visitor can read in a second.
    • Primary action: a tap-to-call button and the phone number, plus a book or quote button if that suits the trade.
    • A one-line reason to choose you: same-day, fixed price, licensed and insured, the thing that matters to your customer.

The case (why you, why now)

    • Services: the specific jobs you do, in plain words customers search for, not internal jargon.
    • Pricing or a quote path: a guide price, a starting-from, or a clear 'request a quote' so cost is not a mystery.
    • Service area: the places you cover, so a visitor confirms they are inside it before contacting.
    • Proof: reviews, a rating, recognisable local names, a guarantee or licence, placed near the action.

    Contact and reassurance

    • Short form or booking link: for people who will not call; ask only for name, contact, and the job.
    • Hours and response time: when you are open and how fast they will hear back ('we call back within the hour').
    • A short FAQ: the three or four objections that stop people calling, answered before they have to ask.

    Before you publish

    • Looks right on a phone: most visitors are on mobile; the primary action should be visible without scrolling.
    • Loads fast: a slow page loses impatient, high-intent visitors.
    • Consistent name, address, phone: match your Google profile and directories exactly; see the local SEO basics.
    • Analytics on: so you can see visits, form starts, and submissions. On Simplepages this is built into the dashboard.

Once the sections are in place, the work is converting and refining them. The bookings playbook and the lead-capture playbook cover that next step.

    FAQ

The above-the-fold headline plus primary action. If a visitor lands and cannot instantly see what you do, where, and how to contact you, the rest of the page rarely gets a chance.
