Your pages are yours. Now you can take them and go.

Export any standalone page as a zip of clean, static HTML and its images, with our analytics, lead capture, and payment scripts stripped out, ready to host wherever you want.

Most website builders are roach motels. Your stuff checks in and it never checks out. You build a page, it looks great, and then you learn the only place it can ever live is on their servers, under their subdomain, on their monthly bill. Stop paying and it disappears with you having nothing to show for the work.

I never wanted Simplepages to work like that. So as of this week you can export any standalone page and walk off with it.

    What you actually get

Hit Export on a page and you get a zip. Inside is the page as a single index.html, its stylesheet, and an assets folder with every image we were hosting for you, downloaded and rewired to point at the local copies. Unzip it, double-click index.html, and it opens in a browser. Nothing to install, no account needed, no us in the loop at all.

The one thing missing from the zip is us. We pull out our analytics, the lead-capture form handler, and the checkout script before packing it, since those only do anything when the page is talking to our backend. What is left is a plain static page that belongs entirely to you. The part your visitors see is untouched.

    Why we built it

Lock-in flatters your metrics for about a year, then it quietly makes people resent you. I would rather you stay because the product earns it, not because leaving means rebuilding everything from scratch somewhere else. If you outgrow us, or you just want a copy sitting on your own drive in case we get hit by a bus, you should be able to pick up the thing you made and carry it out. You made it. It is yours.

A couple of honest caveats while I am here. This is for standalone pages, not full multi-page sites, for now, because internal links between pages need more care before I am happy shipping it. Anything third-party you added yourself, a Google Font, some embed, stays exactly as it was, since that was never ours to bundle up. And it sits on the paid plans, same as publishing.

    How to grab one

    1. Open the page from your dashboard and go to the Overview tab.
    2. Click Export as ZIP.
    3. A download starts. That is the whole feature, no wizard, no waiting screen.

Build here because it is genuinely the fastest way I know to get a good-looking page live. But the day you want to leave, the door is open and your work walks out with you.

    FAQ

A zip holding the page as index.html, its stylesheet, and an assets folder with every image we hosted for you. The image paths are rewired to the local copies, so the page renders offline straight out of the folder.
